A full six case of wine to take you all the way through the festive season. An outstanding and varied selection.
Blanquette de Limoux Brut, Cuvée Francoise, Maison Antech, France -
Pale yellow colour with golden reflections and fine bubbles. The nose expresses the spring flowers and fresh tree fruits. The palate is lively, harmonious and round. We have the feeling to bite in a very delicate granny smith apple.
Sébastien Vaillant, Valençay, Loire, France -
Light lemon in colour with a lovely grassy, citrus nose showing plenty of zesty Sauvignon Blanc aromas. The creamy palate has great balance with lively acidity from the Sauvignon rounded out by the richer Chardonnay, with a mineral note on the finish.
Blank Bottle, Moment of Silence, Wellington, South Africa -
Aromas of candied lemon, cooked apple and mango with a core of minerality. Soft and voluptuous, it has a lovely ripeness and a fleshy, creamy mouthfeel, which leads to a perfect tangy freshness giving some zip to its otherwise mellow feel.
Seghesio, Dolcetto d'Alba, Piedmont, Italy -
A ruby red colour and with a fresh and fruity bouquet, this dolcetto is a beautiful and great value interpretation of this often overlooked Italian variety. It matures in 50hl steel tanks for 9 months for a pleasant and velvety mouthfeel, producing a young and fresh wine, immediately ready to drink.
La Rioja Alta, Viña Alberdi Reserva, Rioja, Spain -
Intensely aromatic of raspberries, blueberries, red plums and redcurrants that give way to balsamic notes of vanilla, nutmeg, caramel and hazelnut. There's balance and freshness and a lovely, smooth, rounded finish.
Morgadio da Calçada, Ruby Port, Porto, Portugal -
Bright red in colour, exhibiting a very attractive aroma, with notes of ripe red fruit stand out (plum, cherry) along with a touch of dark chocolate and cocoa. Smooth on the palate, with tannins evident but very round and soft. All balanced with good acidity.
